What is TB500?
TB500 is the synthetic version of the endogenous peptide thymosin beta-4 (TB4). Thymosin was discovered in the mid-1960s by Professor Allan Goldstein of the Albert Einstein School of Medicine (New York).
Thymosin beta-4 can be found in all types of cells and tissues except red blood cells. It is also found in other body fluids such as saliva, tears, and cerebrospinal fluid. Scientific research indicates that the TB500 peptide mimics the effects of TB4 created in the thymus gland and that it plays a key role in the injury recovery process.
The main action of TB4 is to regulate the proteins involved in the construction of cells. Among these proteins is actin, which helps to increase cell migration and multiplication. As a result, it helps in the regulation of inflammation and the generation of new blood vessels.
- Accelerates injury recovery;
- Regenerates organs and heals wounds;
- Helps regenerate blood cells;
- Reduces inflammation in the joints.
